The Écume Collection by Charlotte Biltgen takes its name from the French word écume, meaning “seafoam”- a fleeting, poetic trace left by the ocean’s movement. This sense of softness, impermanence, and natural grace is echoed throughout the collection, where forms seem to float, ripple, and settle like waves on a calm shore. Each piece captures a delicate balance between groundedness and lightness, comfort and elegance. Defined by soft, sinuous lines and flowing silhouettes, the collection evokes the carefree spirit of childhood and the quiet sophistication of timeless design. From the airy curves of the Écume Bench, which seem to hover with graceful ease, to the Écume Sofa, a tender refuge of calm and introspection, every form suggests a moment of pause and reflection. The Écume Armchair, with its grounding presence in solid oak and delicate foam contours, explores the harmony between structure and softness, like a seashell balancing on the shore.
