Edmond & Fils began as a small metalworking workshop in the Haute-Loire region of France, founded on one man’s wish to build a company he could pass down to his children, hence the name “Edmond and sons.” That family ethos of craftsmanship built to last found an unlikely match in Louis Benech, France’s most celebrated landscape architect, whose gardens for the Tuileries and the Élysée have shaped how the country thinks about outdoor space.
The Siam Sofa is the result of an inspiring meeting between Louis Benech and the metalworkers of Edmond & Fils, its recycled steel frame cast in the finely textured Gris Terre d’Ombre finish to trace the silhouette of bamboo stalks. From the root to each growth ring, the garden seems to emerge through the metal, its cushions upholstered in beige Sunbrella Natté, an invitation to sit in quiet harmony with nature.
