The Calarossa Strisce headboard, crafted from natural rattan, is a unique piece designed for a villa in Corsica. Upholstered in Reflex fabric by Raf Simons for Kvadrat, it embodies a modern yet warm elegance. The yellow and ochre striped fabric draws inspiration from the festive maritime stripes used in the 1940s Seggiovia chair by Franco Albini, the use of stripes in the architectural interventions of artist Daniel Buren, and the rich heritage of bold stripes in haute couture. This blend of textures and visual references gives the headboard an aesthetic that is both timeless and contemporary. Made to measure, the Calarossa can be tailored to suit any interior, combining artisanal craftsmanship with refined design.
Laclaux embodies the vision, skills, and sensitivity of Chloé Nègre and François-Xavier Fonbonnat. Both alumni of the École Camondo, they built their careers on separate paths: François-Xavier working at some of France’s leading design agencies, while Chloé founded her eponymous studio. By merging their longstanding experience and sharing a deep passion for craftsmanship and responsible design, they create new collections of furniture pieces inspired by their distinctive perspectives, where creativity and environmental consciousness are the cornerstones.
