Three Coffee Spoons

Add to Wishlist

Set of three coffee spoons, each modelled by hand in wax before being cast in bronze through the lost wax technique, a process that allows no two spoons to be identical even within the same set. Osanna Visconti works this way across her practice, moving between jewellery-making and object design without changing method, only scale. Trained by instinct rather than formal design education, she describes herself as an artisan first, spending her days at the foundry shaping wax models with her hands. The result carries the slight asymmetries of the hand rather than the mould, a quality collectors of her Alga and Foglie pieces will recognise. Finished in bronze or silver-plated bronze, the spoons suit a table setting that wants sculptural presence in a small format, alongside porcelain or glass rather than competing with heavier silverware.
