The Ikat Beaded Cushion Cover by Kubo Curated draws on the ikat tradition of resist-dyed pattern, brought together with hand-applied beadwork so that two craft traditions meet on a single surface.
Made from naturally dyed T’nalak cloth, woven from sacred Abaca fibres by the T’boli women of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, and finished with coconut shell buttons, this cover appears here in light sand and oatmeal with hand-applied ikat beading layered across the surface. The beading is added entirely by hand after the weaving is complete, turning each cushion into a genuinely one-of-a-kind textile object.
