The Square Knot Weave Cushion Cover by Kubo Curated takes its name from bahay kubo, the traditional Filipino nipa hut built from organic materials, its square knot pattern a tactile homage to that heritage of hand-weaving.

Handcrafted from naturally dyed T’nalak cloth, a fabric woven from one hundred percent Abaca fibres of the banana family and considered sacred by the women of the T’boli tribe of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, this cover is fastened with coconut shell buttons and shown here in light sand. What makes it genuinely inspiring is that T’boli weavers, known as dreamweavers, traditionally receive their patterns in dreams, so this square knot design carries centuries of visionary craft in every thread.
