The Udon Weave Cushion Cover by Kubo Curated, its name a nod to bahay kubo, the traditional Filipino nipa house, takes its pattern from twisting noodle strands woven into a texture made for everyday living rooms.

Woven from naturally dyed T’nalak cloth, made of one hundred percent Abaca fibres from the banana family and held sacred by the T’boli women of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, this cushion cover fastens with coconut shell buttons and is offered here in light sand. The udon-inspired weave pattern, reminiscent of twisting noodle strands, shows how the T’boli translate everyday observation into abstract, almost hypnotic textile geometry.
