The rug is the illusion of a pleated rug, as he was fixed during its installation. This trompe L’oeil is a tribute to the Italian Baroque as well as the Surrealism art, two among the concepts dear to Dino Gavina. The fact that the reverse is more beautiful, more colored, than the right side gives a spiritual lecture beyond a simple piece of decoration.
Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
