With the Coco Lamp 1, Sébastien Caporusso continues an ongoing dialogue between architecture and craft. The Brussels-based designer, celebrated as Designer of the Year at Belgium’s Biennale Interieur, approaches every piece as an exercise in noble, tactile materials — stone, marble, brass, bronze — shaped into eclectic, dreamlike forms that are as poetic as they are livable.
Free-form and sculptural, the wall lamp is hand-glazed in ceramic, its surface built from irregular elements that catch light and colour differently from every angle. No two glazed sections behave quite the same way, so the fixture keeps offering small discoveries long after it has been installed.
