With the Eclipse E03 Lamp, Sébastien Caporusso continues an ongoing dialogue between architecture and craft. The Brussels-based designer, celebrated as Designer of the Year at Belgium’s Biennale Interieur, approaches every piece as an exercise in noble, tactile materials — stone, marble, brass, bronze — shaped into eclectic, dreamlike forms that are as poetic as they are livable.

Part of the Eclipse family, this backlit wall lamp is built by assembling different slabs of marble, arranged and sometimes superimposed in brass to form a shape that hovers between abstraction and recognition. Lit from behind, the stone’s natural veining glows softly, casting a warm ambient light across the wall it inhabits.
