Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski opened Garcé & Dimofski’s studio and gallery in a 19th-century Pombaline building in Lisbon. They bring a rigorous, architectural eye to furniture that never strays far from the earth it comes from — chestnut, walnut, pine and clay, shaped by hand with Portuguese craftsmen who have spent lifetimes mastering their materials.
The Saia sconce is worked in glazed ceramic into a softly twisted form, shown here in the Eclipse finish, so the fixture casts light unevenly across its own folds rather than in a flat wash. Because the twist is shaped and glazed by hand, the exact curve and shade of each sconce will differ slightly, and its dimensions and finish can be discussed to order.
