At Garcé & Dimofski, design begins with material rather than form. Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski work almost exclusively with what the Mediterranean landscape and Portuguese artisans can offer: chestnut and walnut wood, hand-thrown ceramic, raw clay and terracotta, resulting in furniture with what the duo call a quiet strength that transcends trends — pieces built to feel inevitable rather than fashionable.

The Long Almond sconce takes its name from its softly rounded, almond-like silhouette, glazed in ceramic and fixed to the wall on a simple iron mount, shown here finished in Almond White. Because the glaze is applied and fired by hand, the light it casts will always have a faint variation in tone across its surface, and both the dimensions and the finish can be customised for a run of sconces along a corridor.
