Thierry Lemaire finds many of his piece names on a map of New Caledonia, his birthplace — villages, rivers and regions, like the real northern town of Koumac — a playful ritual behind an otherwise disciplined practice: every edition from his Paris gallery limited to thirty or forty pieces, made entirely in France.
The Mekah sofa is upholstered here in Dedar’s Salinger fabric in a daino tone, made to bespoke fabrics, dimensions and shapes.
