Thierry Lemaire built his Paris gallery on pieces limited to thirty or forty examples, made entirely in France, and it’s that discipline of scale that gives his furniture — from the Élysée Palace to Dior — its sense of quiet occasion. The Tosi sofa carries his taste for sculptural, oversized volumes into something upholstered and inviting, seen here in Elitis’ Esprit fabric, its rounded, generous form built for the kind of 1970s-inflected glamour Lemaire is known for.
