Background
Souraya Haddad initially graduated as an architect and then earned a masters in landscape design at Université de Montréal. Afterwards, she signed up for ceramic classes at Bon Secours school in Montreal, and has been practicing ceramics ever since, with a control over shapes and forms thanks to her architectural background. Her work is regularly exhibithed in art galleries and fairs across the globe. Â
Signature Style
Souraya mainly focuses on developing new glazing formulas and exploring different sculpting techniques. Her determination and passion for extensive experimentation inspire her to create unique objects imbued with poetic connotations. Each ceramic piece is simultaneously organic and mineral, poetic yet unsettling, familiar yet mysterious.
