Background

Founded by Marcel Barbier in 1931, Veronese is a French design brand born out of the idea that bringing together different worlds begets endless possibilities. Passionate about Murano artistry, Barbier was determined to merge the mastery of Muranese artisans with the expertise of French designers to create novel, yet timeless designs. He believed that by fusing together these two different worlds, from Paris to Murano, he would deliver original and wondrous creations to all design connoisseurs. With that spirit, for nine decades Veronese has succeeded in creating collections that embody contemporary design notions while remaining true to its heritage as a French design house specialized in Murano artistry. 

Signature Style

Fusing together the worlds of design, craft, science, technology, fashion, and history, Veronese draws from different cultures and design vernaculars spanning a variety of styles that testify to its illustrious story. Between the 1930s and 1950s, Veronese gained notoriety by embracing the French Neo-Classical revival period, transitioning then to a broader mix of styles encompassing classicism and minimalism, while delving deep into the iconic design elements created by Murano artists and loved internationally. Veronese collections include lighting, mirrors, and decorative objects such as stools, tables, vases, bowls, and installation art. The designs are primarily configured as modular systems to allow customization not only in terms of glass colors, finishes, and dimensions, but also in composition.
