Design week in Paris is a moveable feast, with an incredibly full slate of events running alongside Maison&Objet. Here is a gentle reminder of what we have in store for you:
Celebrating French heritage & savoir-faire we took over the most magical setting in Paris – Féau Boiseries – and appointed it with our coveted designs. A revered symbol of French excellence, family-run Féau is arguably the greatest specialist of boiseries and decorative panels in the world with an impressive archive of original pieces and documents spanning three centuries. In the labyrinth-like space filled with the most fantastic and diverse items, we displayed our new capsule collection created in collaboration with Dedar. The Italian textile manufacturer, known for its dazzling fabrics, dressed 10 of our iconic designs by matching the personality of each piece with the most suitable fabric.
Alongside “Dressed in Dedar”, we are delighted to unveil a selection of pieces from the new collection by Harumi Klossowska de Rola x Goossens. This is the second time that the Franco-Japanese artist and the French House that is part of Chanel’s Métiers d’Art join forces to deliver an array of refined objects. From a fascinating mirror contoured with exquisite floral motifs to an alluring lion-shaped object, this collection strikes the perfect balance between art and design.
In addition, we called upon the enfant terrible of French design for something eccentric & fantastic: we are delighted to unveil the new collection by Vincent Darré x de Gournay, available for purchase exclusively through us. The collaborative capsule is yet again an example of the French designer’s flamboyant aesthetic and dreamlike style defined by his signature surrealism-inspired seating.
