Anasthasia Millot brings a background in fashion to the art of metalsmithing, channeling her eye for fluidity and self-restraint into bronze furniture defined by clean, sculptural lines. She treats bronze less as a heavy material than as something almost airborne.
The Jack Oval Bench by Anasthasia Millot reinterprets the collection’s signature aerial curves for both feet and armrests, its black bronze patina structure shown here encasing a soft oval cushion in Rubelli’s Oskar fabric, color Bronzo. It is a lovely example of how bronze, in Millot’s hands, can feel as inviting as upholstered fabric.
Her longstanding experience in the fashion world has informed Anasthasia Millot’s approach to design and her eye for fluidity and self-restraint, two qualities she injects into metalsmithing by creating elegant bronze pieces defined by clean lines. In 2010, she presented her first designs at PAD Paris, then, in 2017, she exhibited her work at Masterpiece London and then in New York.
