The Clam Ottoman revives the sculptural 1944 Clam Chair by Danish designer Arnold Madsen, one of the most sought-after silhouettes of Scandinavian mid-century design, produced today in collaboration with Madsen’s family by Dagmar, the London studio devoted to reissuing twentieth-century Scandinavian Modern furniture.
Upholstered in soft Skandilock shearling in a moonlight hue and raised on feet of fumed oak, the ottoman pairs traditional Danish joinery with a tactile, cocooning comfort that has defined Madsen’s legacy for eight decades. Also available in oiled oak or walnut, with bespoke upholstery on request, it offers a rare chance to live with a piece of authenticated Danish design history rather than a mere echo of it.
