Recognized on the AD100 list of the world’s most influential architects and designers, Simon builds her collections around a signature material palette: brushed solid oak, natural stone such as travertine, patinated metal and textured fabric, alongside artisanal techniques like raku ceramic and chamotte plaster. The result is furniture and lighting that reads as quietly sculptural, deeply tactile, and unmistakably her own.
The Noa Ceiling Light designed by Emmanuelle Simon is not just a source of illumination. Part of the same poetic Noa universe as the mirror, its chamotte plaster frame conjures ripples on water and a sky slowly taking shape overhead, letting the ceiling itself become a soft, luminous horizon within the room, true to Simon’s love of atmosphere over decoration.
Crafted from hand-shaped chamotte plaster surrounding a textured glass centre, the fixture diffuses a soft, almost liquid light through the frosted glass, its uneven plaster edges catching the glow unevenly for a gentle, elusive movement across the ceiling. No two frames are identical, each bearing the trace of the artisan’s hand in every ripple of the plaster.
