Fleur Delesalle’s furniture reads like a garden catalogue: Peony, Marigold, Daylily, Hollyhock, Poppy, Crocus, each name attached to a piece built around soft, rounded volumes and a cheerful, minimalist sensibility. The designer, who spent six years with India Mahdavi before opening her own studio, has since been recognised with the AD x Land Rover Design Award for a body of work that manages to be both calm and quietly playful.
Standing on four legs Fleur Delesalle describes as elephantine, the Peony Table Chrome pairs polished chrome steel with a choice of tops: satin khaki lacquer, natural walnut, satin Marquina marble or satin nude-pink lacquer. The mix-and-match of materials and colour across a single generous, simple form is what gives the Peony line its quietly playful character.
Fleur Delesalle founded her eponymous studio in 2011, in Paris. With luxury residential projects throughout Europe, and her vibrant displays at Paris Design Week, Fleur is regarded as one of the most talented designers of her generation.
