Flores Studio is the Lisbon-based practice of Valentina Pilia and Emma Pucci, who craft handwoven textiles, rugs and sculptural furniture with Portuguese artisans, championing raw, natural-textured materials.
The Everyday Sofa, designed by Flores Studio, takes its name seriously: a relaxed, versatile piece conceived for the shifting demands of a multi-tasking day, equally suited to an early morning coffee, an afternoon of reading or a long evening with friends. Its structured yet welcoming silhouette reflects the studio’s belief that comfort and design discipline are not opposing forces.
Upholstered here in Lobos fabric with wooden feet and backrest cushions included, and available with bespoke fabrics on request, the sofa is handcrafted entirely in Portugal, where local artisans shape its frame and cushioning with the same attention to material honesty found throughout Flores Studio’s collection.
Flores Studio was founded by interior designer Valentina Pilia and architect Emma Pucci. Passionate about traditional crafts, uncommon textiles and the theatricality of a well-designed interior, they launched their studio to create incredibly tasteful textiles and gorgeous furniture pieces. Italian born Valentina honed her skills first at Studio KO in Morocco, then at Pierre Yovanovitch agency in Paris. French-Swiss Emma practiced architecture by working as production designer in the film industry. Now based in Lisbon, in the famed square Praça das Flores, the design duo caters to an international clientele, delivering beautifully crafted pieces. Â
