At Garcé & Dimofski, design begins with material rather than form. Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski work almost exclusively with what the Mediterranean landscape and Portuguese artisans can offer: chestnut and walnut wood, hand-thrown ceramic, raw clay and terracotta, resulting in furniture with what the duo call a quiet strength that transcends trends — pieces built to feel inevitable rather than fashionable.
Puddle, the third lamp from the Garance Vallée collaboration with Garcé Dimofski, is worked directly in clay into a loose, pooling silhouette that gives the piece its name, as though the material had been caught mid-spill and left to set. It reads as a small sculpture that happens to hold a bulb, best suited to a spot where its irregular outline can cast its own shadow.
