Wood is a very uneven material, shaped mainly by material removal processes, unpredictable in its grains and knots, therefore very difficult to process industrially. In lighting it is seldom used due to its little thermal conductivity. studio lamp by Isato Prugger is a solid wood table lamp with monolithic proportions. It is designed with the intent of sculpting the shape of stability, a shape of stoic and silent firmness, accentuating wooden texture.
Isato Prugger graduated in Industrial Design at Politecnico of Milan in 2014, he gained international experience by working in Milan, Stockholm, Tokyo and Dongguan (China). At Salone del Mobile – Euroluce 2019, he presented the innovative portable lamp FLAI in collaboration with Diomede Light, and was dubbed as one of the youngest designers exhibiting at the fair. Since 2019, Isato is part of Nèo Design Italiano, a creative group of young professionals operating in the new Italian design landscape. Isato currently works as an independent creative in Milan.
