The Sky Chunky Cloud Table by Louise Liljencrantz and Lison de Caunes is a striking design in wood and straw marquetry. An evolution of the signature Cloud Table, it features the same gravity-softening design but with stouter proportions. The legs in beech with high-gloss finish are uniquely shaped, creating the appearance of placid, almost heart-shaped pools on the tabletop. For this design, Lison de Caunes selected a special type of straw that evokes the sky and the sun reflections. The stunning straw marquetry work changes and evolves according to the light and viewing angle, constantly revealing new details in the wood.
Veermakers was founded in 2017 by Louise Liljencrantz, one of Sweden’s most sought-after interior and furniture designers, in collaboration with KFK Cabinet Makers. The partnership grew out of years of successful joint projects and a shared passion for timeless design, honest materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. All pieces in the Veermakers collection are designed by Liljencrantz and reflect her dedication to enduring quality and sustainable production. Her Stockholm-based studio, Liljencrantz Design, was established in 2009 and has received international acclaim for its bespoke, luxurious interiors for both private and commercial clients.
