It all began with Albrecht Durer’s “Rhinoceros” engraving, which Laura Demichelis greatly admires for its power and poetic reinterpretation of the living. It was the starting point for creating the texture used for this side table. On the borderline between a work of art and a functional piece of furniture, the Rhino table has a strong presence between mineral and animal, preciously framed by a thread of brass with golden reflections. The unique texture of the bronze makes the object sculptural and singular for an everyday object.
