Crafted from liquid metal, this sculptural coffee table defies convention with its four legs fluidly folding upward to unveil a multi-tiered surface. As each leg metamorphoses into atabletop, Automa blurs the line between sculpture and furniture. Form meets function in a display of modern craftsmanship.This work starts a new research phase for the studio called ‘Objects of Anger’.
Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer based in New York and Florence, with an international curriculum, attending schools in Italy, Portugal, and the United States. Following his B.Arch cum laude from Università degli Studi in Florence and his M.S.Arch with 1st class honour from Pratt Institute, he started collaborating with several renowned firms, including Leeser Architecture in Brooklyn, Claudio Nardi in Florence, Laisné Roussel in Paris, and Carlo Ratti Associati in New York.Â
