La Chance began with the meeting of architect Louise Breguet and former financier Jean-Baptiste Souletie, who bonded over a shared belief that furniture could be bold, sculptural and rooted in the French decorative tradition without feeling nostalgic. The Paris house has commissioned collections from names like Dan Yeffet, Hannes Peer and Jonah Takagi, each piece produced in small European workshops using noble materials — Portuguese marble, Eastern European woodwork, Italian textiles.
The medium Salute table in white and yellow stands on a Pele de Tigre marble column beneath a tray in a bold matte neon yellow, one of three lacquer options alongside matte black and copper. The unexpected shot of neon against the pale, natural stone is what gives this particular Salute its personality.
La Chance is a Paris based design company producing furniture, lighting, accessories, rugs and wallpaper with a strong and distinctive style. They give a contemporary interpretation of the ornamental and decorative French furniture tradition rooted in the Art Deco period. Their creations share a sophisticated, rich and singular design based on noble materials. It is a come back to a warm and uninhibited luxury, breaking away from cold and conceptual design.
