At La Chance, every collection starts as a conversation. Louise Breguet, an architect, and Jean-Baptiste Souletie, a former banker turned furniture editor, launched the Paris house with a clear ambition: to give contemporary designers a stage for sculptural, colour-driven furniture built the old way, by European hands. Their rue de Richelieu studio and gallery remain the meeting point for an ever-growing family of collaborators, from Note Design Studio to Jonah Takagi, all working in solid marble, hardwood and hand-finished metal.
The large Salute table in green and copper stands on a column of glossy Indian Green marble, its polished surface far more reflective than the matte travertine used elsewhere in the range, topped with the same warm copper tray. It is the boldest colour combination in the Salute family.
La Chance is a Paris based design company producing furniture, lighting, accessories, rugs and wallpaper with a strong and distinctive style. They give a contemporary interpretation of the ornamental and decorative French furniture tradition rooted in the Art Deco period. Their creations share a sophisticated, rich and singular design based on noble materials. It is a come back to a warm and uninhibited luxury, breaking away from cold and conceptual design.
