Behind the Mamba Bench stands Sarah Chirazi, a Franco-Senegalese designer whose work reads like a multi-act scenography, drawing on the Art Deco furniture of her Dakar childhood, inherited Senegalese craft, and a wink of humor that surfaces in even her most classical forms.

Named after one of Africa’s most striking snakes, the Mamba bench sets legs in gilded bronze, embossed with a raised, tactile serpent-skin texture, beneath a seat upholstered in bespoke wool and satin fabric. The animal reference stays purely sculptural rather than literal, giving the bench a quiet, coiled presence that holds its own beneath the softness of the fabric above it.
