The Wa Sideboard is designed by Victoria Magniant, who works hand in hand with French ateliers to translate noble materials, wood, glass, brass, into pieces that read as much like sculpture as furniture. She draws on the pared-back forms of Isamu Noguchi and Barbara Hepworth, choosing slowness and craft over speed.

Limited to eight numbered pieces plus four artist’s proofs, the Wa Sideboard is built from rich walnut chosen for the vividness of its grain, its surfaces aligned like a graphic composition guided by the Japanese idea of wa, harmony reached through precision. It stands as the opening statement of a new collection built on restraint, fine joinery and finishes intended to outlast passing trends.

This creation is crafted from solid wood, a natural material that naturally expands, contracts and cracks with temperature and humidity changes. Variations in grain, colour, and texture are inherent and natural. These natural changes are a sign of authenticity, and part of what makes each piece unique.
