The Self Reflection armchair by Waiting for Ideas was conceived during the pandemic when subsequent lockdowns fostered introspection. Made of mirror-like aluminum and defined by acute angles and sharp lines, this piece, designed by Jean-Baptiste Anotin—the founder of Waiting for Ideas- is an allegory of moments of withdrawal into ourselves, as well as an ironic embodiment of the illusion that everything has an explanation and is consistent. This armchair is the result of several processes: laser cutting, sanding, and treatment to ensure its durability. Self Reflection is now part of the collection of the Mobilier National.
