At Garcé & Dimofski, design begins with material rather than form. Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski work almost exclusively with what the Mediterranean landscape and Portuguese artisans can offer: chestnut and walnut wood, hand-thrown ceramic, raw clay and terracotta, resulting in furniture with what the duo call a quiet strength that transcends trends — pieces built to feel inevitable rather than fashionable.
Lola takes the same hand-carved Douglas fir frame as its natural sibling but adds a stained, lacquered finish, shown here upholstered in Lelièvre’s chalky Lama bouclé, with Zak & Fox’s white Noos wool offered as an alternative. The lacquer deepens the grain of the wood rather than hiding it, so the carving underneath still reads through the sheen.
