Garcé & Dimofski, founded by Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski in Lisbon, is both a design studio and a gallery devoted to a singular, material-driven language. Lacquered Chair I.I. continues Minjae Kim’s collaboration with Garcé & Dimofski Gallery: a seat hand-carved from Douglas fir, then stained and lacquered to a deep, glass-like sheen that contrasts with the visible tool marks left in the wood beneath. Every chair is unique by nature of being carved by hand, so shapes and shades vary slightly from one to the next, and both wood and finish can be discussed to order.
