Taking its name from the second brightest star in the southern constellation of Centaurus, Hadar Lounge Chair embraces a radical formalism while prioritising uncompromised comfort. Influenced by Hervé Baley and Frank Lloyd Wright, its lines pay homage to the daring and innovative approach of these design legends, showcasing a fusion of bold geometry and ergonomic excellence.

Contrary to the way the majority of products are made today, a single workshop on Portugal’s Silver Coast is the beating heart of every De La Espada piece. It is from one of Europe’s most significant centres of excellence in woodworking and upholstery that their furniture is sent directly to homes and public spaces all over the world. They have an in-house design studio, De La Espada Atelier, and also collaborate with nine leading international designers, as well as Portuguese artisans whose craft they highlight in their products. De La Espada represents true luxury: creativity rather than imitation; extensive research and development; traditional methods that are in scarce supply; a singular aesthetic point-of-view; and no compromise when it comes to materials or effort.
