Her style defined as “Contemporary Arabesque” blends her influences from her Lebanese family and her Japanese childhood as she magnifies oriental handicrafts with a hint of Japanese materials.

Background

Born in a Lebanon and raised in Japan, Nada Debs graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in the US. She then moved to London where she began designing and producing custom furniture. Nada Debs returned to live in Beirut at the age of forty. Cosmopolitan and prolific, her multicultural approach has made her one of Lebanon’s design and furniture stars.

Signature Style

Her ability to fuse her oriental heritage with Japanese influences, mixing traditional crafts with vibrant references to the contemporary anime culture.

She loves

From her childhood in Japan, she kept the memory of Tadao Ando’s unparalleled ability to mix concrete with wood. She loves Jean Royère, who has worked extensively in Lebanon, including a house for the Shah of Iran. Nada collects ceramics from all over the world.
