Attractive and functional: these are the first two words that come to mind when looking at Emmanuelle Simon’s work. Recently inducted into the prestigious AD 100 List, the young interior architect and designer is considered the new promising name in interior decoration when it comes to expressing pure lines infused with French chic.Â
After some formative years with masters in the likes of Jean-Marie Massaud and Pierre Yovanovitch, Emmanuelle founded her own studio working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, including Evidens de Beauté’s first beauty salon in Paris, which won her the Wallpaper* Design Award for ‘Best Calm Spot’. Â
Emmanuelle’s aesthetic is raw yet sophisticated, influenced by her love for Art Deco paired with a touch of Wabi-Sabi philosophy. She seamlessly mixes high-quality woods and delicate raku elements, and favours neutral, pleasing colours that conjure the most harmonious atmospheres.Â
Emmanuelle visualises her projects as a whole; each well-appointed space conceived as an invitation to an immersive experience from the architectural elements down to every single piece of furniture and objects, which she designs with the utmost attention to detail. We handpicked a selection of emblematic pieces, including the beautiful Jonathan bookcase, in precious assamela wood and delicate raku tiles that we think is the new bookcase on the block and already an instant classic.
