Coming from a family where creation rhymes with tradition, Amande Haeghen studied art history and then jumped in ceramic work with both feet. The countless sketches that filled her drawing books had to materialize: Her hands finally finding purpose working the clay with swift, precise gestures. Instinctively drawn to wall installations, she creates an array of styles mixing a variety of organic shapes that fit and embrace the walls like a second skin. Following the opening of her namesake Parisian studio in 2018, she opened an additional workshop in Lisbon in 2021.Â
