Woven into every Winnow Rug is Armadillo’s commitment to slow design, a philosophy Fried and Pottharst built around fair wages, natural fibres and techniques handed down across generations of Indian weavers. Every stage, from dyeing and spinning to knotting and finishing, is completed entirely by hand, giving each rug the tactile, faintly irregular character the brand considers the mark of genuine craft rather than a flaw to be engineered away.

Anchoring a room with intuitive tactility, the Winnow Rug cross-hatches a hand-woven wool flatweave flecked with natural texture over a cotton warp, resulting in a hardwearing staple that eschews excess in favour of quiet presence. Available in Alabaster or Granite, its earthbound palette and durable weave bring the enduring feel of raw materials into everyday underfoot life.

Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
