Nordic Knots was founded in Stockholm by siblings Fabian and Felix Berglund together with Liza Berglund Laserow to modernize the rug, a category they felt design had overlooked. Each rug is hand-knotted or hand-woven by skilled artisans and Goodweave certified, ensuring fair and ethical production from thread to knot.
The Norr Mälarstrand rug is a collaboration with Swedish architect Andreas Martin Löf, designed originally for his own living and working space on Norr Mälarstrand in Stockholm. Its pattern borrows directly from the building’s architecture, sitting exactly where classicism meets modernism, and translates the colours and lines of that façade into a hand-loomed New Zealand wool rug. It is less a floor covering than a portrait of a place, brought into any interior.
Founded in 2016, Nordic Knots believes that a great rug is the foundation of a harmonious home. Known for timeless designs that blend function and Scandinavian aesthetics, their rugs grace homes around the world. Collaborations like the Campbell-Rey collection, inspired by the Gustavian era, showcase bold colors and luxurious New Zealand wool.
