Nordic Knots was founded in Stockholm by siblings Fabian and Felix Berglund together with Liza Berglund Laserow to modernize the rug, a category they felt design had overlooked. Each rug is hand-knotted or hand-woven by skilled artisans and Goodweave certified, ensuring fair and ethical production from thread to knot.
Part of the Jute collection, the Jute Cross rug is hand-woven from strong, all-natural plant fibres in a modern rustic design equally at home in the countryside or the city. Its cross motif, rendered in Nordic Knots’ signature cream, black and red accents, gives the flat weave a graphic, almost architectural rhythm. At 6mm thick, it sits close to the floor, letting the natural texture of the jute fibre do the talking.
