Each maison and designer featured on The Invisible Collection is chosen for a distinct point of view, translated into pieces made almost entirely by hand, in limited numbers, for those who collect stories as much as objects.
Elliott Barnes, the American-born architect, designed the Endless Summer bench to challenge how leather is normally used in furniture. Rather than treat leather as an upholstery layer wrapped over a hidden frame, Barnes made it the frame itself: a metal armature supports panels of serpentine leather that curve and ripple like a single continuous wave, produced in a limited edition of eight. The result carries the same pure, eclectic sensibility that earned Barnes a place among AD France’s designers of tomorrow.
