Simon’s work sits at the meeting point of two seemingly opposite instincts: the formal discipline of Art Deco and the quiet acceptance of imperfection found in Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy. Straight lines, bevelled edges and architectural volumes coexist with hand-brushed textures, raku-fired ceramics and irregular, hand-gouged surfaces, so that every piece feels both considered and alive, precise yet never cold.

Crafted in solid brushed oak with blackened steel detailing, the table pairs the tactile texture of hand-brushed wood with the cool precision of dark metal. Its traditionally assembled bevelled edges reveal the thickness of the solid wood, while an alternative blackened Assamela wood version offers an even deeper, more graphic contrast between material and shadow.
