Francesco Balzano is a Parisian architect-designer whose childhood between Venice, Rome and Florence left him with an instinctive feel for stone, light and proportion, an instinct that now drives the sculptural furniture produced under his own label, SATTIO Studio, marrying Scandinavian minimalism with Italian grandeur.
The Tempio gueridon reduces the collection’s brutalist, purist language to a single pedestal form, its Grand Antique marble surface carrying the same dark veining that runs through every piece in a series inspired by Casa Malaparte and the marble quarries of Stazzema. Limited to twelve signed and numbered examples, also available in white onyx.
