The Resin Stool Model Five carries the maker’s mark of Studio Floris Wubben, who has spent over a decade re-engineering industrial extrusion machines by hand in his Haarlem workshop, then lets them behave unpredictably, treating each pull of clay or resin as a negotiation between human intention and mechanical chance.
Finished in a dark, oil-slick R03 epoxy, this stool continues Studio Floris Wubben’s exploration of bunker-like forms, its rugged, functional silhouette drawing on the defensive architecture that dotted the dunes of his childhood in Zeeland. Cast in resin rather than clay, the piece trades stoneware’s matte grain for a glossy, almost wet-looking surface that catches every twist of its extruded profile.
