Studio Floris Wubben approaches ceramics like an engineer solving a problem: by building a machine that has never existed. The Resin Stool Model Four emerges from this workshop culture, where custom extrusion presses coax stoneware and resin into forms no mould could produce, each one bearing the trace of its own making.
A companion to the studio’s bunker-inspired stools, this piece is finished in a vivid R01 fire epoxy, with a softer pink smoke colourway also available. Its blunt, fortified profile nods to the coastal defense architecture of Wubben’s native Zeeland, while the hand-poured resin finish keeps the form warm rather than severe, closer to memory than to monument.
