Studio Floris Wubben approaches ceramics like an engineer solving a problem: by building a machine that has never existed. The Temple Stool emerges from this workshop culture, where custom extrusion presses coax stoneware and resin into forms no mould could produce, each one bearing the trace of its own making.

The Temple Stool revives a defining piece from Studio Floris Wubben’s very first collection, now remade with the studio’s now-celebrated extrusion machines and shown here in a chalky sky-blue H02, with matte white H04 and a deep H15 red also available. Extruded clay is paired with hand-shaped profiles so that each stool stays recognisably part of a series while still carrying its own particular ripple and lean, a balance between repeatable method and one-off artisanship that has become the studio’s signature.
