Studio Floris Wubben approaches ceramics like an engineer solving a problem: by building a machine that has never existed. The Glazed Stool Model Two emerges from this workshop culture, where custom extrusion presses coax stoneware and resin into forms no mould could produce, each one bearing the trace of its own making.

Glazed in a smoky gunmetal L08 here, and available too in a deep L12 green, this stool is pulled from the same family of hand-guided extrusion machines that Studio Floris Wubben has spent over a decade refining in Haarlem. Its twisting stoneware body records the exact pressure and pace of the extrusion pass that made it, so no two stools, even from the same colour batch, ever settle into quite the same silhouette.
