Eva Taulois work is all about material and surface: a profound velvet, synthetic glints of plastic, roughness of roughcast.. For the artist, colour is central: Flamboyant, it is a pace and creates an welcoming environment for visitors. In 2017, Eva Taulois showed a first painted carpet during Lyon’s Biennale. A few years later, when French Cliché’s duo met Sibylle de Tavernost (Maison S), they instantly wanted to create a series of artists carpets. A call later and a first encounter lead Eva Taulois to peint colourful and free shapes designed to be be weaved into carpets.
