The collection was first shown as booth scenography at Milan’s Salone del Mobile, where its cratered surfaces and metallic thread turned the rug itself into a kind of landed object.

The Météor Rug distills the same collaboration into a single, ivory-toned piece, hand-tufted in eucalyptus fibre and Tencel with New Zealand wool, bamboo silk and a glint of gold Lurex running through its surface. Its pitted, luminous texture reads like a close-up of stone struck by starlight, grounding Dries’s architectural sensibility in something tactile and quietly cosmic.

Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
